Jets Beat Patriots in OT; Miami, Ball State Win
Brett Favre completed 26 of 33 passes for 258 yards and two touchdowns as the New York Jets defeated the New England Patriots, 34-31, in overtime. Patriot quarterback Matt Cassel threw for 400 yards on 30 of 51 attempts. Cassel also rushed for 62 yards for host New England (6-4). Thomas Jones carried 30 times for New York (7-3) and gained 104 yards. The Jets avenged a Week 2 loss at home to the Patriots and took sole possession of first place in the AFC East.
In the college ranks, the University of Miami took a half-game lead in the ACC Coastal Division with a 16-14 home win against Virginia Tech. The Hurricane (7-3) defense harassed Hokie (6-4) quarterbacks Sean Glennon and Tyrod Taylor all night, sacking them six times combined. Taylor was sacked on fourth down with two minutes left to seal the win.
Ball State remained undefeated Tuesday with a 31-16 victory against Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The Cardinals are now 10-0 while the RedHawks slipped to 2-8. Ball State’s last two regular-season games are against Central Michigan and Western Michigan. Both teams are presently 8-2.

Was so happy to see the Jets win. I hate the patriots.
I like New England but the Jets deserved the win last night. I think both teams will make the playoffs.
I love Brett Favre. Just stopping by to say hi!
