Bowl Quotas Filling
Most college football teams have a game or two left to play. Many of the 11 Division I-A conferences are well on their way to filling the bowl slots they are contracted to fill. A few of them will likely fail to complete their quota, leaving bids open for at-large teams.
Each conference’s bowl tie-ins are listed, in order of selection. For example, the Orange Bowl picks the first team from the ACC, followed by the Chick-fil-A Bowl, the Gator Bowl, and so on.
Each league’s teams are divided into three groups. Bowl eligible teams have won the required six games. Not eligible teams have lost at least seven contests. Questionable teams have not qualified for postseason play but could still do so.
