Published by xzchief at 7:02 pm under Golf Edit This

Thanks so much to Sports 2000’s top ten EntreCard droppers of spring. I’m sure you know all about the situation regarded EC and Today. That’s why I waited an extra week to post this list. I can’t add anything that’s not already been said elsewhere. The widget will replace in place and no paid ads will be accepted here. Therefore, advertisers will get maximum value for their credits.

Chad Campbell shot a 65 to lead after the first round of the Masters Thursday. Campbell, runner-up in the 2003 PGA Championship, set a Masters record by birdieing the first five holes.

Jim Furyk and Hunter Mahan trail by one stroke. Shingo Katayama and Larry Mize, the 1987 Masters winner, each shot a 67. Thursday was a good day for 50-something golfers at Augusta. Beside Mize, two-time champ Bernhard Langer and three-time runner-up Greg Norman both carded 70.

Tiger Woods also shot a 70, matching his best-ever opening round at the Masters. Woods registered a first-round 70 three previous times. He won the tournament each year. Second-round play begins at 8 a.m. eastern Friday.
