NBA, NHL Playoffs Begin This Week
The National Basketball Assocation regular season finishes Wednesday. The teams have one or two games left. The 16 squads that will advance to the playoffs–that commence Saturday–are known.
Cleveland defeated Indiana Monday to clinch home-court advantage throughout the playoffs. The L.A. Lakers will enjoy home-court advantage through the Western Conference playoffs. The next two nights could change the bracket since some teams are tightly bunched. However, after tonight’s games, the playoff matchups are as follows:
Eastern Conference
#8 Detroit Pistons (39-42) at #1 Cleveland Cavaliers (66-15)
#7 Philadelphia 76ers (40-40) at #2 Boston Celtics (60-20)
#6 Chicago Bulls (41-40) at #3 Orlando Magic (58-23)

Western Conference
#8 Utah Jazz (48-33) at Los Angeles Lakers (64-17)
