Celtics, Spurs Even Series

Home teams evened two series in the NBA playoffs tonight. San Antonio crushed Dallas, 105-84. Ray Allen’s three-point shot with 2.2 seconds left lifted Boston to a 118-115 victory over Chicago.

Cleveland, behind newly-named Coach of the Year Mike Brown, hosts Detroit Tuesday. Los Angeles entertains Utah and Portland hosts Houston.

In the NHL playoffs Monday, Boston took a commanding three-games-to-none lead by winning at Montreal, 4-2. Washington got its first series win with a 4-0 triumph at New York. Calgary won its first game of its series, 4-2, against visiting Chicago.

There will be five games tomorrow. Pittsburgh plays at Philadelphia. Detroit travels to Columbus. Carolina hosts New Jersey. St. Louis entertains Vancouver. San Jose visits Anaheim.
